Nobilis

Nobilis

NOBILIS, Latin adjective nobilis (is, e): Noble, distinguished, in good taste … This the name under which Adolphe Halard, founded of the company, started his store at 29 rue Bonaparte, between the Saint Germain des Prés church and the University of Fine Arts. By surrounding himself with renowned painters, including Suzanne Fontan, famous for her romantic style and joie de vivre, he became an editor of wallpaper and fabrics: the spirit of NOBILIS was born and updated traditions and favourites were combined, with lots of attention to the quality of colours, materials and drawings. The quality and high level finish of its products and services quickly gave NOBILIS an international reputation.
